Thanks so much for all the generous donations for our
construction project in Room 3, and do mind your heads on the sticky balloons
by the doorway! It’s been another busy week with lots of running, jumping,
touch rugby and papier mache. We also enjoyed our yummy gingerbread, and Mr
Neal’s music, and had an unexpected treat when Mr Kumar came to show us his
Indian paper cutting art – amazing!!
This week we aim to crack our backwards number
sequence, and to continue on with our papier mache costumes, as well as with
our jump training. Mr Neal is going to be teaching us specific techniques for
long jump and high jump, and will also be leading us in a series of lessons
about music, understanding and relating to what we hear. We’ve got cricket
training on Wednesday, kapa haka on Thursday, and of course another library
session on Monday – it’s great to see the children choosing such a range of
fiction and non-fiction books on favourite topics.
Reminders:
- last week to enter Sophie Hampson’s
poetry competition, with a nature theme!
- $5 to the
school office for the upcoming show, The Seasons (if not already paid)
- school disco this Thursday, 6.30pm, $5. Be

-
the school policy is “no hat, no play”. Don’t be left behind under the shade
cloth!
